Was very excited to find Voicethread had an app…but sadly it does not seem to be working, it will not load. Would love to rewrite a glowing review if could get it up and running

Its a good app… I just dont want to do my hw on it

First off, whoever designed this app had little to no knowledge of app development. Why would you require flash player for an iPhone app? iPhones cant, nor have they ever, run flash. And the Universal VoiceThread was a joke. All I could do was see the guide for it. Poor app, if I could give it zero stars I would.

OK, I had given the app 1 star because I couldnt figure out how to read a long text comment. I finally figured out that by slowly sliding the progress bar along the comments section, you could see sections of the whole text comment. Voicethread thinks of text comments not as immediate whole comments, but as a timed speech - with a time section in the thread corresponding to how big the comment is. It only shows you part of the comment at a time. By sliding the threads progress bar along the comment period, you can see the whole comment in snippets. Kind of an odd thing, but it works fine. So, fully functional. 4 stars, not five because I didnt figure it out right away.

This app is awful! I cant play videos that Im sent links to on my iPad, and the app is overall clumsy.

My browser points to the program, which simply opens and does not work at all. Worthless.

The app gives you a black screen that it. I have to use VoiceThread for school and it is the biggest waste of time. It never works smoothly even on my laptop.

A reviewer below complained about flash? I upgraded my voice thread to the new version today. And Im not sure if maybe the new version no longer uses flash? But I have no problem listening to my voice threats and making comments on them with the mobile app. I used my my Wi-Fi at home and had no problems. Im happy with the app.

Had to use this app for a school project. Terrible quality and rarely ever works. I unfortunately do not have access to a computer so I am basically stuck with my phone. Due to this I will not be able to finish this project and of course this is the only resource we were able to use

This app is horrible I am so frustrated with it right now Ive had so many problems with it and I would give it zero stars if I could.

I hate that I cant delete anything!

This app is terrible. First it tells me I cant watch the video of my teacher because Im not on Wi-Fi. Fine. I exit the app and join the schools Wi-Fi network. Error message still shows. I have to hard reset my phone, join the Wi-Fi network, and then launch the vt app. Then it works. It doesnt detect real time changes to the network selection. This is a repeatable bug. Whatever state you first launch vt in, that is the only time it ever checks the network. If you arent on Wi-Fi when that happens, you arent ever getting video even when you join a Wi-Fi network. Also, every single video I try to watch starts three seconds from the end of the clip and wont let me start it from the beginning. I have not yet been able to successfully watch any of the videos my teacher posted. This app is junk.

I would rate this app 0 stars if I could. I use this app for french class and none of my recordings load. It doesnt even let you hear the audio. This app was just a waste of time and my teacher is going to give me a bad grade if I cant submit my project because of this app

I love this app its great and efficient

This app is terrible, not even worth the free download! I was using it for a graduate course. Videos over a minute wont upload. It will show that I have responded within the app but it doesnt show as posted from a computer. I nearly lost 15 points on a voice thread assignment using this app! I dont even think there is enough space to write the many problems I encountered while using the app.

This is by far the worst app i have ever used. Not only is it slower then a senile snail, It is filled with bugs, and most of the time it is totally uncooperative. 0/10 makes me want to kill myself

I have to use VoiceThread for my classes at school, but this app never works. Ive had great success with VoiceThread on my computer and was very much looking forward to using the app. But after trying it one hundred times, it still wont work. My husband cant make it work either. I click on the video to play and it skips the entire video and plays the written comments. Only. Thats all it will ever show! Written comments. Id really like to use it, so if VoiceThread could actually make it work, I would be so appreciative!

I had to do a school assignment so I downloaded it. Then it said I needed to register in order to see it, so I did. Next I go back to open the voicethread in the app and it opens and tells me theres been no activity. It used to work and then all of a sudden it just wouldnt load and I would stare a a black screen.

Cant even watch a simple video someone shared with me. Useless app.
